Nation Update: Amayah Chase wins Spelling Bee

After six hours of intense competition, ten-year-old Amayah Chase of West Terrace Primary School emerged victorious at the fifth Insurance Corporation of Barbados Ltd Junior National Spelling Bee 2024. The nail-biting competition, which proved to be the longest in the event's five-year history, concluded when Chase correctly spelt "truculent" to secure the top spot.
