Nation Update: Boost for tourism training

Tourism, education and private sector officials have welcomed a strategic initiative with the Florida International University (FIU) Chaplin School of Hospital and Tourism Management, which will enhance the training of workers in the tourism and hospitality industry in Barbados and the wider Caribbean. The Barbados Hospitality Professional Programme was launched on Thursday at the Villages At Coverley, Christ Church, the location chosen for the university’s first three interactive courses aimed at improving hospitality skills, producing better team leaders and helping elevate guest experience.
