Nation Update: DLP says Water bills should be stopped in St Lucy

The Democratic Labour Party (DLP) will officially make a request to the Barbados Water Authority (BWA) that the people of St Lucy be exempt from paying bills until their water problems are resolved. A group of party members including Opposition Leader Ralph Thorne, fourth vice-president Shaquani Hunte and spokesperson for Culture and the Creative Arts, Alvin Toppin, were in St Lucy yesterday distributing bottles of water as well as empty bottles for the residents to gather water from the water trucks.
