Nation Update: Elderly woman loses home to fire

In 2012, a fire at her home forced Angela Grimes to return to the family house in Clevedale, Black Rock, St Michael. Yesterday, just before 6:30 a.m., she smelled smoke coming from her brother’s bedroom and pushed the door to find his mattress on fire. Everything happened so quickly, the 70-year-old was unable to save anything from her room and ran outside, calling the neighbours. They, too, could not save anything. (Video by Reco Moore)
