Nation Update: Elements force Fisherman’s Pub renovations

Decades of battling the elements have taken a toll on the iconic Fisherman’s Pub in Speightstown, St Peter. The business has now temporarily closed its doors for urgent interior renovations – a first in its long history of maintaining the seaside establishment. Perched on an elevated foundation overlooking the sea, the restaurant has long been a landmark in the historic northern town. Owner Clement Armstrong explained that the constant exposure to the elements had taken its toll on the establishment, particularly its roof. (Video by Shanice King)
