Nation Update: Former US ambassador likes way of life in Barbados

Linda Taglialatela arrived in Barbados eight years ago to begin the job as United States Ambassador to this country and the Eastern Caribbean, feeling “a little overwhelmed” about the mission she was about to undertake. She leaves Barbados, on January 1, with a sense of satisfaction about what she has accomplished on behalf of her country and the record of being “the longest serving modern-day US Ambassador in the western hemisphere.” Taglialatela talks about how her stint here has shaped her.
