Nation Update: Old CZMU Building demolished

Before and after: The old Coastal Zone Management Unit building on Bay Street, The City, is no more. A few days ago, it was reduced to rubble during a controlled demolition. A statement from Haigh Communication early last week advised the public about the work that was expected to impact those travelling along Jemmotts Lane to Beckles Road and Bay Street. “This work will start on Tuesday night, August 6, and is expected to be completed by Friday, August 9, weather permitting,” it added. On Thursday night a Nation team spotted a crew with heavy machinery demolishing the vacant building.
