Nation Update: Path ‘not blocked’

Management of the Crane Resort, the developers of a multimillion-dollar beachfront collection of villas at Culpepper, St Philip, is denying that the public access to the treasured Culpepper Island has been restricted. Responding to a video circulating yesterday on social media, which suggested that the public now had to traverse over treacherous rocks to get to Culpepper Island – a small islet located 30 metres off the coast of Barbados – just off Skeetes Bay and Culpepper Development, John Doyle, director of business development at the Crane Resort, said the access to the uninhabited island had not changed with the construction of the villa development, two years ago.
