Nation Update: TVET change agents

Management and staff of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Council have been challenged to be agents of change in response to the evolving job market. Minister of Education, Technological and Vocational Training, Kay McConney, made this call during her remarks at the TVET Council’s 30th anniversary gala and awards ceremony, held at Wyndham Grand Barbados Sam Lord’s Castle Resort on Sunday evening. McConney emphasised the Council’s responsibility to sustain a well-performing system that meets national and regional demands while encouraging them to embrace change in order to address the shifting needs of the labour market.
