National budget framework paper for FY 2024/2025
The Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, has asked for time to scrutinize key priority areas as presented in the budget frame work paper for Financial Year 2024/2025 to ensure positive outcomes. Ramathan Ggoobi, the permanent secretary in the Ministry of Finance and secretary to treasury, responded to the number of queries by members of Parliament sitting on the Budget Committee who failed to defend the finances for the cited priorities in the BFP for the next financial year. The ministry is yet to come up with a master plan to increase the revenue collection in Uganda away from the tax base. Ggoobi and officials from the ministry of finance were defending the Budge3t Framework Paper for FY 2024/2025.
