National Peace Programme stepping up its crime-fighting efforts
The National Peace Programme is stepping up its crime-fighting efforts in 2025. The Government-led programme launched several new initiatives including the likewise campaign which will highlight real-life stories of at-risk and high-risk youth who actually did crime, went to jail, came out and turned their lives around. Minister of State with a focus on Crime Prevention Corey Lane says the series which will be broadcast through traditional and social media platforms will also tell stories of at-risk youth who are living life on the streets and are asking for help. Additionally, the national peace programme will be partnering with the minors club to teach children how to ride motorcycles. Director of the Club Tomar Haynes says the initiative which will be taken across the country will help to guide many young people who have a keen interest in riding motorcycles in the right direction and away from living a life of crime. Mr. Haynes is thanking the Great Hope Foundation for donating a motorcycle to the initiative.
