The Nationals candidate for the new WA electorate of Bullwinkel says she is confident she will win the seat. Mia Davies, a former WA minister and state opposition leader, is turning her focus to Canberra after 16 years in the WA Parliament. This week, Ms Davies joined farmers in Canberra rallying against the Albanese government’s policy to end live sheep exports, which she says will impact livelihoods in her electorate. “Thousands of farmers from all over Australia turned up to say we’ve had enough, we’ve had a gutful,” Ms Davies said.
