NDP’s Singh calls for Trudeau to resign, says “all options on the table” for non-confidence vote
Canadian NDP leader Jagmeet Singh says “all options are on the table” in regards to a potential vote of non-confidence following the resignation of Deputy Prime Minister of Canada and Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland, hours before she was set to delivered the annual Fall Economic statement. And despite voting against a non-confidence vote brought forth by Pierre Poilievre and the Conservatives last week, Singh has now called for Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to resign. “Justin Trudeau and the Liberals are focused on themselves. They're fighting themselves instead of fighting for Canadians. And for that reason, today, I'm calling on Justin Trudeau to resign. He has to go,” Singh said during a press conference on Monday. Singh’s statement comes moments after Conservative party leader Pierre Poilievre suggested the ball was in his court to topple the Liberal government. Poilievre suggested the Liberal party table their fiscal update and “let the House of Commons vote up or down” in a “non-confidence vote” in order to bring forth a potential “carbon tax election.” For more info, please go to https://globalnews.ca/news/10920638/jagmeet-singh-calls-justin-trudeau-to-resign/ Subscribe to Global News Channel HERE: http://bit.ly/20fcXDc Like Global News on Facebook HERE: http://bit.ly/255GMJQ Follow Global News on X HERE: http://bit.ly/1Toz8mt Follow Global News on Instagram HERE: https://bit.ly/2QZaZIB #GlobalNews #Canada #Cdnpoli #JagmeetSingh #JustinTrudeau
