Necessary steps taken

Labour Minister Colin Jordan is again making it clear that all the steps taken to restructure and recapitalise the National Insurance and Social Security Service were necessary. Responding to a question about the current state of the Service, Mr. Jordan says in 2022 the 17th Actuarial Review showed that while the fund was in good shape, the risk was there for it to be depleted by 2034. He says following widespread consultation with stakeholders, adequate measures were taken.
