NEMA halts Pozzolana mining in Harugongo sub-county

The National Environmental Management Authority has suspended the mining of Pozzolana in Harugongo sub-county, Kabarole district. Pozzolana is a mineral used in cement processing. Abasi Balinda Transporters Company Limited, the company operating the mining project, has been accused of not possessing the required mining license.
