New Child Protective Center opens in Jacksonville

A second facility to provide for victims of child abuse is now open in Jacksonville. "This is national child abuse prevention month. This is what it's about, it's about the community coming together, about families coming together, to make sure these kids, they don't feel like they're alone when they're experiencing something like this, they can truly heal from the trauma by having the support of the community to make sure we're there for them," says Itzel Meador, chairman of Children's Protection Center. The Joint project between the Child's Protective Center (CPC) and the Jacksonville North Pulaski School District was announced in December.
