NEW DIGITAL NUMBER PLATES LAUNCHED AS VEHICLES OWNERS GIVEN 2 YEARS TO TRANSFORM TO NEW SYSTEM
The government of Uganda through the ministry of Works and Transport has launched the operation of digital number plates with a call to all vehicle and motor cycle owners to switch digital technology with two years from today. During the launch of digital number plates at Malaba border point Susan Kataike the spokesperson for ministry of works and Transport asserted the new digital number plates technology has been tested and trusted for safety of vehicles and motor cycles hence calling upon the public to adhere to the technological trend. Meanwhile, Galina Syalova head of Communication Global Security, a company that contracted to produce and fix digital number plates assured Ugandans of enough number plates and effective service to all.
