The department responsible for the collection of a significant part of Government's revenue has a new home at the Leroy Trotman Building Customs House. Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Barbados Port Inc. Peter Odle says 12 million dollars has been spent to renovate the 32,000 square feet of commercial space, at the Bridgetown Port, where the Customs Department will now be housed. He says the facility now boasts an environmentally-friendly ethos in which business can be transacted in comfort. Mr. Odle adds the new facility will play a pivotal role in helping the department to execute its mandate and new ideas.
