New laws being studied to improve resiliency of digital infrastructure

The introduction of a new Digital Infrastructure Act is being studied to make key digital infrastructure more secure and resilient against disruptions. This, especially for sectors like banking and healthcare. A government taskforce is looking into the matter, following major outages last year involving DBS, Citibank and some online government services. Communications and Information Minister Josephine Teo said disruptions to such critical infrastructure can cause significant impact to the economy and society.
