Nearly 12,000 lower-secondary school students will get front row seats this year to "live" performances showcasing music -- from the great composers to local maestros. The Performing Arts-Based Learning (PABL) programme hopes to deepen students' understanding and appreciation of the arts. The programme will be rolled out to all secondary schools by 2027. It will also involve other performance arts groups like the Metropolitan Festival Orchestra, the Singapore Chinese Orchestra and The Esplanade Co. Ltd.
