Singapore has set up its first social service programme dedicated to the needs of transnational families. These are families where not every member is a citizen or permanent resident. The programme will provide social and legal help, particularly to those who are lower-income but do not have access to aid. Gregory Vijayendran, Chairman of Pro Bono SG, and Sandhya Aswani from The Inclusive Fund discuss what Singaporeans should aspire to. They also talk about bridging the educational gap between children from transnational families and Singaporean children.
