New rental occupancy cap unlikely to increase HDB maintenance costs: Tan Kiat How

Authorities do not expect operational and maintenance costs of common areas at public housing flats to increase significantly, even when rental occupancy limits are increased from the current six to eight occupants. Senior Minister of State for National Development Tan Kiat How was responding to questions in Parliament on HDB's announcement in December aimed at easing rental demand.
