New report flags possible lease termination for the Port of Darwin

A Chinese company which runs the Port of Darwin has expressed concerns about its financial position which raises the prospect of the Northern Territory government terminating its controversial lease of the facility. “It means we could see the forced sale of that lease,” Sky News Northern Australia correspondent Matt Cunningham said. “And possibly, if that sale can’t be achieved, the termination of this lease deal.”
