New South Wales to overhaul local government code of conduct rules

New South Wales local governments are set to see an overhaul over proposed council code of conduct rules. According to The Sydney Morning Herald, misbehaving councillors would face fines suspensions or disqualification from public office under a proposed suite of reforms aimed at streamlining accountability and instilling transparency in local government.
