New South Wales voters head to local council elections

Voters in New South Wales will head to the polls to vote in local council elections. The administrative blunder by the troubled New South Wales Liberal Party has overshadowed the build-up to today's election. The error means 140 candidates across 16 councils will not appear on the ballet. 14 councils will be uncontested due to a lack of nominees. Polls will open at 8 AM and close today at 6 PM.
