New structure to give legislators a hefty salary increment

Despite an outcry from the public for the government to cut its budget including the salaries of members of parliament the Salaries and Remuneration Commission, SRC, has affected its monthly remuneration for the National Assembly and the Senate for the 2024/2025 financial year. The new structure is set to give legislators a hefty salary increment.
