Heidi Alexander has been appointed transport secretary after Louise Haigh resigned, becoming the first minister to step down from Sir Keir Starmer's new Labour government. It comes after Sky News revealed that she pleaded guilty to a criminal offence relating to a work mobile phone in 2013.
