The Government, through the National Agricultural Research Organisation, will release two wheat varieties by the end of 2024 that can be grown outside the traditional areas of Sebei and other highlands. In response to the global wheat supply chain disruption caused by geopolitical tensions, the government tasked researchers to find alternatives.
