New York City Mayor Eric Adams pleads not guilty to federal charges

New York City Mayor Eric Adams has pleaded not guilty to five counts of criminal offences which include bribery and fraud charges. The 64-year-old was indicted earlier this week on allegations he accepted illegal foreign campaign donations in exchange for his influence as mayor. He has denied any wrongdoing and told a New York court he has “followed the rules”.
