Queensland's Liberal National Party is on track to deliver the Sunshine State a majority government if an election was to be held in March, according to Newspoll. The polling company’s latest data shows the state Opposition has surged ahead of Labor by eight points since the 2020 election. LNP Leader David Crisafulli is leading Steven Miles as better Premier by 6 per cent with preferential data for the two Party leaders at 43 and 37 per cent respectively. The potential win would translate to an 18-seat loss for the Labor Party and could break Labor's 'Red Wall' effect across the mainland. At least 81 per cent of Queenslanders outside the southeast believe it's time for a change of government.
