The next government to lead Pakistan is likely to be a “weak and fractious” coalition given that no one party is expected to secure a majority of votes, says director of Wilson Center’s South Asia Institute Michael Kugelman. Speaking to CNA’s Asia Tonight on Wednesday (Feb 7), he says that the coalition is likely to include parties that do not get along, spelling continued political instability in the country.
