NIB Offices Closed After Ransomware Attack

The public is advised that all offices of the National Insurance Board of Trinidad and Tobago (NIBTT) will be closed from Wednesday 27th December to Friday 29th December, 2023. NIBTT issued this statement a day after the company said it fell victim to a ransomware attack on Boxing Day. According to the media release, the cyber attack has been reported to the Trinidad and Tobago Cyber Security Incident Response Team (TT-CSIRT), and steps are being taken to protect the company's data and technology.
