Nicoll Highway collapse: 20 years on, SCDF uses lessons from incident to train and upgrade officers
Learning from the Nicoll Highway collapse, the Singapore Civil Defence Force built a tunnel in its training centre last year to teach officers how to free victims trapped underwater. On top of using gadgets like underwater rovers to search for victims, officers are also regularly deployed to help in overseas disasters, and get first-hand experience on the ground.
