Reform UK leader Nigel Farage warns of terrorism “risk” after the fall of the Assad regime in Syria may cause British people who volunteered to fight with the Islamic State to want to return home. “As far as I’m concerned, they left our state – they joined the Islamic State. I don’t want a single one of them back,” Mr Farage told Sky News host Danica De Giorgio. “We will help people around the world in genuine distress. We cannot open our borders and risk terrorism, and frankly, the first duty of government is to protect the nation and protect its people.”
