Nigeria school abductions: Survivor recounts harrowing escape

An armed group abducted 287 students along with a teacher in the town of Kuriga in Kaduna State, on Thursday. Mustafa Abubaker is one of the students who managed to escape the mass abduction. Mustafa recounts a bandit attack, describing the chaos, threats, and forced march to a river. Facing violence and hunger, the group encountered a military aircraft, received meagre rations, and learned the attackers had studied the village. Mustafa found refuge, eventually encountering loggers unaware of the ongoing events.
