Nikki Haley faces possible, albeit slim, chance at Republican nomination: Experts
Once overlooked by her competitors, former South Carolina governor and ex-United States ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley’s star is rising within the Republican camp, ever since she announced her candidacy for the Oval Office in February last year. Strong debate performances and endorsements from major conservative donors have helped to propel her up the polls. In the lead-up to the Republican presidential primary, she is fast catching up with Florida governor Ron DeSantis in Iowa, the first state to vote, and is leading him in New Hampshire, a crucial primary battleground.
