Nine people killed on the spot after a grisly road accident at Koguta area

Nine people have died on the spot after a 14 seater matatu they were traveling in was involved in a head-on collision with a lorry at Koguta area, along the Muhoroni – Londiani junction. Kericho county police commander Geoffrey Mayek said the Tuesday 1:30 pm accident claimed the lives of five male passengers in the ill-fated matatu while four of the dead were female passengers, with the driver of the lorry fleeing the accident scene in fear of being attacked by locals.
