RMIT University Economist Nataliya Ilyushina warns productivity in Australia is not showing any “good signs”. Ms Ilyushina’s comments follow the report the nation’s retail spending is expected to reach $24.7 billion between Boxing Day and January 15 2025. “The productivity in Australia is not showing any good signs,” Ms Ilyushina told Sky News Australia. “We are simply not producing things we are intending to buy.”
