No Moves To Devalue TT Dollar

Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley is defending the move not to devalue the TT dollar, despite constant arguments from many quarters to do so. Speaking at a Breakfast with the Prime Minister meeting on Wednesday, he said Government had this advice since September 2015, when the PNM assumed office, but he said Government insisted not to accept that advice noting that such a move would have "far reaching consequences" for the majority of the population. Dr. Rowley said the role of the Government is not to create hardship for people, but to give people a chance to survive.
