No protests witnessed in Nairobi as earlier planned

Calm is gradually returning to the city of Nairobi after weeks of protests that rocked the nation. However, traders were today seen taking precautions by hiring private guards to protect their businesses from vandalism witnessed in the past. Nairobi governor Johnson Sakaja has further noted that Nairobi county has experienced significant revenue losses as a result of the protests. He also distanced himself from any involvement in financing criminals using the protests as a cover to cause destruction.
