The Supreme Court on Monday advised Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to wait for the Delhi High Court's decision on his bail plea in a money laundering case linked to the now-scrapped Delhi liquor policy. The AAP chief had filed a petition in the top court challenging the Delhi High Court's pause on the bail granted to him by a lower court last week. While pausing the bail, the court said it would pronounce its order on June 25. A bench comprising Justices Manoj Misra and SV Bhatti presided over the proceedings, where senior advocates Abhishek Manu Singhvi and Vikram Chaudhary represented Kejriwal, and Additional Solicitor General (ASG) Raju appeared for the Enforcement Directorate (ED). During arguments, Singhvi said the Delhi High Court did not wait for the trial court's bail order before putting a hold on it. "If the High Court can stay it without seeing the order, why can't your lordships stay the High Court order" he argued. At this, Justice Misra responded, "If the High Court has committed a mistake, should we repeat it?" #arvindkejriwal #kejriwalbailnews #arvindkejriwalnews #arvindkejriwaljail #highcourt #indiatoday #live #livenews #livenow #indiatodaylive Subscribe to India Today for NEW VIDEOS EVERY DAY and make sure to enable Push Notifications so you'll never miss a new video.
