No warrant to make arrest
Court marshals have powers of arrest, with or without a warrant. The revelation was made by the Acting Senior Marshal, Mareta Hoyte as she addressed the 45th-Anniversary Service of the Court Process Office at the White Park Wesleyan Holiness Church today. In a wide-ranging speech, she told the congregation, made up of Attorney General Dale Marshall, his Permanent Secretary and other members of the judiciary, that court marshals have far-reaching powers.
