Nobel peace prize ceremony: Nihon Hidankyo campaigns against nuclear weapons

The winner of the Nobel Peace Prize – the campaign group Nihon Hidankyo – has called for the abolition of nuclear weapons in light of ongoing conflicts in Gaza and Ukraine. They made the remarks as they accepted the prestigious award in Oslo. Members of the group use their harrowing experiences as survivors of the US atomic bombings of Japan in World War Two.
