North Korea's GPD expands 3.1% in 2023

North Korea’s economy grew sharply in 2023 after shrinking for three straight years. According to South Korea’s central bank, GDP in 2023 likely expanded 3.1 per cent in real terms. This is its best performance since 2016. Foreign trade stood at US$2.77 billion in 2023, a 74 per cent jump from the previous year. CNA's Lim Yun Suk reports.
