‘Not helping our country’: Greens blasted for ‘grandstanding’ on Israeli sanctions

Independent MP Allegra Spender says the Greens calling for sanctions on the Israeli government is “not helping our country”. “I disagree with the detail of the motion but what I also disagree with is our parliament continually being used as a place to grandstand on a war overseas,” Ms Spender told Sky News Australia. “It’s grandstanding for no object except sowing greater division in this country and that’s something we should all be standing against.”
