Noticia - 'Polarización', palabra del año 2023 para la FundéuRAE

La Fundación del Español Urgente (FundéuRAE) ha escogido el término 'polarización' como su palabra del año 2023, debido a su "gran presencia en medios de comunicación y a la evolución de significado que ha experimentado". El término 'polarización' se ha impuesto al resto de candidatas, varias de ellas relacionadas con la actualidad, tecnología, el medioambiente o las catástrofes naturales, ya que las otras finalistas eran 'amnistía', 'ecosilencio', 'euríbor', 'FANI', 'fediverso', 'fentanilo', 'guerra', 'humanitario', 'macroincendio', 'seísmo' y 'ultrafalso'. La entidad destaca que el uso de la palabra 'polarización' se ha extendido en los últimos años para aludir a situaciones en las que hay dos opiniones o actividades muy definidas y distanciadas (en referencia a los polos), en ocasiones con las ideas implícitas de crispación y confrontación.
