En uno uno de esos cuartos las autoridades se encontraron con el cuerpo con mayor grado de descomposición, y al lado una estufa de gas butano. Aunque ya no había llama, el interruptor todavía estaba encendido. La principal hipótesis de la investigación apunta a una intoxicación por monóxido de carbono.
