NRM parliamentary caucus support deployement, emphasizing peace enforcement and an emergency

The NRM Parliamentary caucus has resolved to support the deployment of UPDF in south Sudan as a peace intervention. While addressing the media at Parliament, the government chief whip Hamson Obua clarified that the deployment being talked about is peace enforcement not peace keeping . He emphasized that under the constitution Parliament has mandate of making laws to regulate deployment of UPDF including outside Uganda and the president under the UPDF ACT has powers to deploy for peace keeping and enforcement.
