The National Union of Public Workers (NUPW) remains committed to helping its membership despite trying times. That is the word from President Kimberley Agard. She was speaking at a church service at the Calvary Moravian Church to mark the beginning of Public Workers Week. With this year's theme being “Innovation and Resilience: Empowering the Public Worker for a Sustainable Future”, Ms Agard said the Union remains resolute in its fight for a better future for members. Meanwhile, Ms Agard will be standing for re-election to the top post of the NUPW. The Union's elections are scheduled for April 2nd. Ms Agard gave insight into the many activities that will be staged this week, including youth and members seminars and a retirees function. She emphasized that all of the events are important but the latter part of the week will be geared towards planning for the Union's future.
