Oba believes Williams will create history
Barbados Olympic bronze medalist Obadele Thompson believes quarter miler Sada Williams will create history and win the island's second Olympic medal when she competes at the Paris 2024 Games starting on July 26. During an exclusive interview with CBC Sports, Thompson, who won Barbados' first individual Olympic medal - a bronze in the men's 100 meters at the Sydney 2000 Games, says Williams has shown that she is capable of a podium finish. Meanwhile, Williams says she has her eyes set on a top spot and a new national record ahead of the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Williams is set to compete in the women's 400 metre event and is the island's biggest medal hopeful.
